Frames

Objective

Playtest 5, still the first sight: the owner's reading of the charts, and the first of the small iterations they asked for.

Why it matters

"Je dois avouer que les graphiques sont durs à suivre." Asked what I thought, I said the problem was the number and the lack of hierarchy, not any chart alone, and offered a loop of subtraction. The owner chose another path: "allons-y avec des petites itérations… commençons par mieux délimiter ces sections pour les rendre plus visibles, peut-être même les réduire." Frame the sections first; judge what is inside them after.

What changed

My Company with framed sections
My Company: BUILD and EXPENSES as framed sections, each foldable from its header.
Banks with framed sections
The same frames on Banks: credit conditions, my loans.

Economic behaviour introduced

None. Client only.

Player experience

A page of boxes with names instead of a scroll of charts; fold what you are not reading.

Game design notes

Technical notes

Section (client/src/widgets/section.gd), a meta flag on UI.heading, Section.sectionize_tree in main._add_panel.

Problems encountered

My Company's own heading sits above the scrolling dashboard, alone in its container, so it is not framed; the smoke test first assumed it would be. Regions has one top-level heading and its economy cards carry their own, one each, so that tab gets no frame yet: a container needs two headings to be cut into sections.

Solutions

The test finds BUILD by its title; Regions waits for the next iteration.

Validation

Commits

de03c21 — feat: frames — every heading and what follows it as a framed, foldable section (finding 61)

Current state

Works: sections you can see and fold.

Limitations: the charts inside are as they were; that is the next small iteration.

Next loop

What the owner reads next.
